Ron has been a Rotarian since 1992. His Rotary journey includes membership in four different Rotary Clubs. The first three Clubs were in District 7890 – Thomason, Simsbury-Granby and New Britain-Berlin, CT.

Ron joined the Woodbury-Southbury-Middlebury Rotary (Tribury Rotary) in 2001 and has served as the Club President on 3 occasions. At the District level, he has served as Assistant District Governor, Chairman of the District Four-Way Speech Contest and Chairman of the District Interact. He is also a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the Paul Harris Society and he and his wife, Pam are major donors to The Rotary Foundation. 

Born and raised in Arkansas, Ron and Pam moved their family to Connecticut in 1976. His educational credentials include a B.B.A. in Industrial Management from Southern Arkansas University (Southern State College) and an M.B.A. from the University of New Haven, CT. His career included two career retirements. The first came in 2001 after 29 years in Manufacturing and Education. This included assignments with TIMEX Corporation, Honeywell and Central Connecticut State University where he served as Director of the University's Manufacturing Applications Center. Having served in various Engineering capacities, he also served as an Adjunct Faculty for four Colleges and Universities in Connecticut and New York. In 2017, he retired a second time after a 17-year career as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments. 

Ron and Pam have been married for 50 years and live in Watertown, Connecticut. They have 3 adult daughters and 8 grandchildren. Although, official retired, he has not slowed down, serving on the Board of a non-profit that focuses on the furnishing of housing for the previously homeless.
