R. Gordon McInally

Gordon is a dentist, having owned a busy General Dental Practice in Edinburgh for many years until stepping back from full time practice in 2016. He also has extensive experience in training and mentoring dental professionals.

Gordon joined The Rotary Club of South Queensferry in 1984, and has held many roles within the club. He was District Governor in 1997-98 and served as President of Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland in 2004-05. A member of the RI Board of Directors between 2007 and 2009, he has subsequently served extensively on a number of RI committees.

Gordon and his wife Heather are both keen supporters of The Rotary Foundation.

In his free time, Gordon enjoys watching rugby, having been a keen player in his younger years. He enjoys good food, wine, and most music types. He enjoys photography, and has recently taken up traditional stick-dressing.

Gordon and Heather, a music teacher and classically trained professional singer, live in the Scottish Borders around 50 mile south of Edinburgh. They have two daughters, Rebecca who runs her own Complementary Therapy practice in Edinburgh and Sarah, a lawyer who is married to Greg. They have two grandchildren, Ivy Grace and Florence May.
