Rotary Club of Milford, NH

John is originally from Lowville, NY, graduated from Lowville Academy and Central School, and attended SUNY Delhi for Civil Technology. His lifelong career in structural steel began as a draftsman and connection designer and morphed to now being a significant supplier/installer and design team member for structural steel building projects for commercial, industrial and education projects. After careers with several steel fabricators throughout the east coast, John and his business partner/wife Allise de Smet started their own structural steel business (Jay Steel, LLC)  in early 2000.

John took advantage of the independence of business ownership to engage in more community service activities. He was heavily involved in the Souhegan Valley Boys & Girls Club, serving eleven years on the BOD and twice as that organization's Board President. John was also a charter trustee for the Amherst Community Foundation.  John was invited by Allise to join the Milford Rotary Club in 2008 when she was Club President. He was quickly asked to join the Board of Directors and served as Vice- President in 2011-12, President-Elect in 2012-13 and President in 2013-14. He has served as a fundraising Committee Chair, Milford Rotary Foundation Chair and has been involved several sessions of the RLI program. He is proud to be a Major Donor for RI. He is also recognized as an RI Benefactor and has maintained perfect attendance every year since his induction.

John enjoys worldwide travel with Allise, fishing, and all winter sports. He and Allise are longtime residents of Amherst, NH and are pleased to have the immediate Siemienowicz clan close by, including his mother Nancy, his son Aaron and his wife Anastasia and their children Aleksei and Athena. They still maintain the family homestead in Northern NY as an active farm and enjoy their trips back to the North Country.
