Jeffrey Eric Krause began his Rotary career in 2001 joining the Rotary Club of New Rochelle, NY. During his time in New Rochelle he served on the board of directors for 6 years and as the club Secretary for 3 years. In 2010 Jeff was elected President of the club.  As President, Jeff lead an effort to have the club get involved in the Gift of Life program sponsoring a child from the Dominican Republic. The club hosted the child and his mother for three weeks during the pre-op stage, the surgery and the recovery period.  In addition Jeff served on the Rotary District 7230 Westchester County Gift of Life board of directors for 2 years.
 
In 2013 Jeff joined the Rotary Club of Stratford. Jeff served as club secretary for two years and most recently completed a term as club president.  During his year as president the club celebrated its 60th anniversary and initiated a new scholarship program for young people who are looking to work in the trades or technical fields. The club also celebrated its history by establishing the Community Impact Fund whereby the club allocated $45,000 to fund eleven worthwhile local community projects.  The club was presented the Edward Osterman outstanding small club award at the District 7980 conference held in June 2018.
Jeff serves and participates in the Golf, Rib Night and Main Street Festival club committees.
 
Currently Jeff serves the Stratford club as Past President and is the District 7980 Assistant District Governor for Area 6.
Jeff is a Paul Harris fellow and received the Rotary Club of New Rochelle’s “Service Above Self” award in 2009 and the Norm Parcells Award in 2018.
Jeff had a 39 year career with the YMCA serving the communities of Waterville, Maine, Wallingford, CT, Stratford, CT, Bridgeport, CT and New Rochelle, NY.  He has served on the board of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Sterling House Community Center.  Currently he serves as a trustee for the Sterling House Community Center and volunteers as a bingo caller for his church.
Jeff lives in Stratford with his wife Eileen of 32 years and their Golden Retriever Abby Rose.
