Robert C. Wood, CCM, has been in the hospitality industry for over 40 years and in the Club Management field for over 30 years. He has been manager of Officers’ Clubs in the Navy, worked in various management positions with Holiday Inn, managed food service operations in student dining and a Faculty Club at Harvard University, and as General Manager of the Chilton Club, Boston for 28 years, until his retirement in December of 2012.


Bob was and is an active volunteer. He is past President of the New England Club Managers’ Association, holding that post for three years, as well as Secretary/Treasurer for two years and Vice President for two years. He was also Vice President of the Board of the David Meador Foundation, the charitable arm of the New England Club Managers Association.  He is a charter member and past President of the Rotary Club of Greater Georgetown, MA, has worked at the District 7930 level in Rotary as Assistant Treasurer, Governor’s Aide, District Registrar and currently the District Treasurer, District Registrar and District Foundation Permanent Fund Chair. Bob is also presently an active member of the Rotary Club of Peabody, assisting in many capacities. Bob is a major donor for the Rotary Foundation, and a member of the Paul Harris Society. He is the recipient of four Paul Harris Fellowships given in his honor.


Bob received his B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, and an Executive M. B. A. from Anna Maria College. He has continued his education by attending many conferences with the Club Managers’ Association of America, as well as several of their Business Management Institute week long seminars. Bob was certified by the Club Managers’ Association of America in 1992, and recertified in 2001. Bob is a member of the 25 year club of CMAA, the Wine Society and the Honor Society.

Bob has been married to his beautiful wife Susan for 46 years, has one son, Bradley Halligan Wood, a daughter-in-law Anita and new granddaughter Taylor Sara.
