Dave first joined the Rotary Club of Malden in 1986 and then became a member of the Rotary Club of Stoneham in 2008 where he served as President in 2012-13. His commitment to youth services was evidenced by his promotion and involvement in RYLA for four years which lead to the creation of an Interact Club at Stoneham High School with 34 charter members. He has proudly served on the Polar Plunge Committee and has plunged into the Atlantic for four years in Rotary’s effort to eradicate polio.

As aide to DG John Hall in 2013-14, Dave was immersed in the district where he served on the Vision Facilitation Committee, Membership Committee and chaired the Communications and Technology Committee. With his strong interest in building a stronger connection between Scouting and Rotary, he has introduced the initiative to collaborate with both the Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs. Rotary Means Business is another initative that Dave has pioneered and one that seeks to build better business relationships among both Rotarians and other professionals interested in developing professional skills and new opportunities.

Dave is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a Paul Harris Society member and was awarded the Cliff Dochterman Award for exemplary service to Scouting and Rotary. He has also been awarded the Silver Beaver by the Boston Minuteman Council and is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow.

Professionally, Dave owns a marketing services company, and has been serving non-profit organizations and businesses with graphic design, printing, mailing services, ad specialties and wide format printing since 1985.

Dave lives in Stoneham with his wife of thirty-seven years, Joni, a retired civil engineer with thirty-six years of service to the US Army Corps of Engineers. Their son, Christopher is a lean engineer with Public Consultancy Group and lives in Medford.
